In September we participated in a Fab Folds Challenge. The challenge was to create a project using pin tucks, pleats, or smocking. We created our Market Place bag. In that bag we included both a smocked and pleated pocket. Here is how we did it. Here in our neck of the woods, labor day means an almost instant cool down and a
return to long sleeves and sweaters. It’s been very warm this summer and I don’t mind telling you that I am enjoying this sudden turn of events. Not that we won’t have a few warm afternoons, but the sun rises later and sets sooner and the wind from the
northeast has a crisp feel to it.

That means beginning fall and winter projects and hauling out yarn that has been
waiting for the cooler temps.
