Hi All! Hope everyone in the US had their fill of turkey, and everyone else had a great weekend! My family spent the weekend in Wisconsin and Donna and I had a chance to sew up the new Go To Pattern’s Belinda Dress.
The Belinda Dress was released today as part of Pattern Revolution’s Designer’s Challenge. If you haven’t been following along yet they it is a series featuring a TON of new pattern releases from various designers(and discount codes). This post includes affiliate links.
I will spare you the details, but we spent more time ripping than sewing this little dress. Which was NOT remotely the fault of the pattern. It is seriously an easy sew. But it turns out when you socialize and sew and have a lot of people and children running around- thing get sewn in backwards, and upside down, and wrong sides together….and so our 30 minute sewing project became a bit more than that.
She votes it was worth it! The dress is a cute knit number with a banded bottom and cuffed sleeve. NO HEMMING! Like Go to Patterns other knit dresses it is great for every day wear. I want to make her 4 more. We used a really soft knit with contrasting band, cuff and pocket ribbing. Check out Andrea’s versions to to see how fun this dress is with a heavier knit or even a sweatshirt material. You can really see the puff sleeve and bubble shape.
Did I mention the giant kangaroo pocket? Can’t go wrong with a pocket to stuff things in!
The Belinda is $3 off today (Monday Dec. 2) You can find it in Go to Pattern shop HERE.
Did you guys shop the Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Does Sunday have a name?, Cyber Monday sales??
I picked up some fabric- shockingly all for me projects!
