We’re happy to be participating in the One Thimble tour today. One thimble is an e-zine for sewing enthusiasts. The magazine publishes quarterly and includes sewing stories, tips, and patterns. You can enter for a chance to win a copy at the bottom of this post.
I was given the opportunity to sew up the Claudia dress, one of the patterns featured in One Thimble issue 10 that just released. It is a pretty woven dress with long and short sleeve options. Since there is a serious lack of long sleeve dress options out there, I was really happy to see this one!
I don’t sew with a lot of wovens since my girl decide she was not interested in wearing them a year or two back. So this was a risk. The jury is back and she loves it. The ease is just right to create a comfortable garment. She can slip her hand through the wrist without unbuttoning which is great.
The dress has a pretty amount of fullness without being so gathered it’s difficult to sew. She sported her new dress to her Valentine’s day party.
One Thimble features patterns for boys, girls, and women you can see the rest of the details here. Visit the rest of the tour stops and enter for a chance to win your own copy below.
