I went shoe shopping with my toddler a few months back. Anyone who has shoe shopped with a toddler knows this is a poor plan. I was in a hurry to pick up a replacement boot for falling temps. I had gone through the sole of boots the last couple of years. I had to admit to myself after wearing these a few times that they were maybe a tiny bit snug. Too late I was committed. While they have become a bit less pinchy these boots still do better with a thin sock. Enter Ankle Boot Cuffs.

These cuffs are a the Wolf and the Tree pattern. There are lots of options to dress up your cuffs in the pattern. Ruffles, lace addition, cuffs, and buttons. There are a large range of sizes so you can adjust for your shoe size and for low or high boots.

This is a great solution to my thin sock problem since it adds a layer of warmth and helps seal out the cold air from the top of my boot. They would be really cute on the top of a tall boot. I think I would go with a thicker knit the next go round. I used a pretty stretchy jersey so they are tending to slouch more than planned on me. Though I could also adjust my sizing to make up for the extra stretch!

There is currently a sale happening over at TWT’s pattern shop you can check it out here. And see the other bloggers featuring TWT’s winter patterns here!
