Back to school! A term that has always made me smile. As much as I was anxious for summer to begin, I was just as anxious to have school start again.
A staple item in our 1st grader’s wardrobe is the Button Up Jumper. It is a twist on a classic design. This jumper can be made using a variety of fabrics.
I used a bottom weight print for the main body and bodice of the jumper. I found a cute print in my stash for the pockets and lining. The hot pink contrast of the waistband makes this jumper just girly enough.
The bodice front of the jumper is fully lined and the waistband enclosed. The three buttons positioned on the front bodice make it easy on and easy off. The side pockets are just deep enough for hands or small treasures.
The Miriam which was featured in One Thimble 15 has returned to the shop. It is another perfect sew for school days. To celebrate its return we are offering the Miriam for $5 and all other patterns, including the Button Up Jumper for 25% off.
