Stitchwerx Designs released a Princess Anna inspired cape this month, and it has been a huge hit at our house, even though the style I choose to sew up was a little more Sherlock Holmes than Princess Anna.
Cape season under the best of circumstances is pretty short where we live. However, the length and weight of this will earn it a little more wear time. M also loves it and occasionally wears it about the house during dress up play. Which I’m totally ok with. If you live in a more moderate climate the dress up and dress down options of this would be great around holiday time!
Just don’t expect your child to stand still for pictures. Today is the last day of a bundle sale of at Stitchwerx you can pick up the cape pattern and a really cute hat pattern for $10. Find the bundle here. I’ve sewn the summer version of the hat with a wide sun brim, and plan to work up the fur trim winter version to match the cape.
I’ve said before how highly I think of Stitchwerx patterns, but I think it’s worth repeating. Kim’s patterns yield a professional result you’ll be proud to share. No steps are skipped. You will notch like you’ve never notched before on this cape- it’s worth it. Every hat and garment I’ve produced from a Stitchwerx pattern I’ve been proud to show off. Her attention to to topstitching, pressing, and other prep and finishing details is great.
Hop over and check out the more princess inspired capes and trims, and of course the bundle deal.
