Thumb hole cuffs are addictive. You’ve been warned, you’re going to want to add these to all of your shirts.
Today we’re sharing a video we made when we released the kid’s Thumb Up Tee. The video walks through the portion of the pattern that creates the thumb hole cuff. Whether you have the pattern or not this tutorial will show you how to create a completely enclosed and finished thumb hole cuff.
Are you ready to give it a whirl?
*the video instructions below
*a cuff pattern (if you have the Thumbs up Tee you can use that. Want to make a grown up cuff? The Grown up Thumbs Up tee is coming on the 19th!)
Don’t have the pattern? Cut a rectangle 80% the width of the sleeve you will be attaching it to, by twice the desired finished height of the cuff + your seam allowance.
Go add thumb hole cuffs to everything! Keep your eyes open we’re releasing the Grown Up Thumbs Up Tee March 19th. Follow us here or on Etsy to make sure not to miss it. The Grown Up version will feature a shirt length, tunic length, long sleeve, short sleeve, standard hem, banded hem, neckband and a funnel neck option. Here are a few sneak peaks….
