Normally I’m all in for Kids Clothing Week. But when it came up a couple weeks ago the timing wasn’t great, one of my sewing machines was dying, and the stars were just not in alignment. So rather than try and force it I decided to sit it out.
Than I got a twitchy at the end of the week and decided to sew up a pants pattern I’ve had for a bit. It came in one of the big Sew Fab bundles, the Ananda Pants by Chopsitx patterns.
A yoga pant for little people! I sewed up a 2T with fabric from my stash. I had planned on creating more neutral color pants, but I was vetoed by the 2 year old. They were a bit long, which had I read more closely the pattern does tell you, so I chopped them off a bit (I hadn’t re-hemmed yet in this picture)
They have a folded over yoga waistband. The gray was a little narrower just because I was working with my remnants. Aside from being a little long they fit her quite nicely. I think these will be a great staple that will transition as she gets older too. The pattern runs from a 2-9/10.
