We all love free patterns. In fact we have a pinterest board for them. I also am in love with quick sews, especially for the kids summer clothes. I found this cute pattern at Craftiness is Not Optional. The fact that it is reversible is very appealing.
This cute little wrap makes it easy to use fabrics that either contrast or co-ordinate. I chose to use two completely different styles of print, both cotton. This pattern is sized in combination sizes of 12/24 months, 2/3 T and 4/5 fits pretty true to size, in our case maybe a little large.
I made up the 2/3 for M. She is tall and just cresting into 3T. This size fits her fairly well. It falls just at her waist, and she is slender so this size is plenty generous in the body. It has a tie on the inside seam as well as the outside which gives room to grow. Also a benefit for quickly growing toddlers.
This summery pink daisy is perfect for M who loves everything pink and flowery. I like the blue because it is more classic and can be worn easily with jeans or even a T shirt under on cooler days. In the fall M will be going to pre-school and I can see these in our future as a staple good for warm fall days or over a shirt on cooler days.
This wrap is perfect for the beginner and for those who have not worked with reversible tops before. All seams are enclosed, no finishing of seams or edges necessary. The directions are great and you should be able to sew it up in less than one hour.
Be sure to visit Jess and check out her other patterns. She has free ones as well as a line of cute girls and baby patterns. Do you sew up a lot of free patterns? Or are you inclined to pin them and maybe not get back to them?
We’re aiming to sew one a month from our Pinterest board.
