I have to admit this is my recovery outfit. The outfit meant to go into this post was a sewing fail. Yep it happens! I was trying to convert one of our go-to summer dresses to a fall/winter jumper. The fabric was too thick, the adjustments I made didn’t do quite what I expected. I was bummed. So as a pick me up. I put together this quick jumper. You can do it too. In 30 minutes or less with half a yard of fabric and two buttons.
I picked up a piece of remnant fleece and pulled these buttons out of the stash, so this jumper cost me about 2.00. First cut out your body. You need a front and back.
*Sewing tip- it doesn’t matter if you sew the seam top to bottom or bottom to top, but make sure you sew both seams the SAME direction
Here is the benefit of fleece, it isn’t going to fray. I left most of my edges unfinished. So these straps are ready to go!
I did turnover the top of the jumper and stitch it. But I left the bottom hem just a straight cut line.
I’m struggling now that the cold weather is here to find a good spot to take pictures. Where do you take pictures when the sun gone and your banished inside?
