Top 5 Posts of 2014

This is the time of year we like to reflect on the past year and set goals for the upcoming year.  So in that spirit we would like to share the 5 posts that were visited the most often in 2014 and by expressing some of our goals for 2015 in hopes of holding ourselves more accountable.

The Little Tummy Tunic

This is a great option for the infant in your life.  A wonderful baby or shower gift we have expanded the sizes and now comes in 3-6 months, 6-9 months and a 12 month size.  This is a great scrap buster and good for summer wear or layering in the cooler months. Grab the pattern. tummy tunic

Add Box Pleats to Any Bodice

This simple tutorial will help you add a little interest to a plain skirt.  It is easy to add a contrast pleat to any skirt.  You can use your favorite bodice piece to build a pleated skirt to get a tunic length top or even a dress. Find the tutorial. box pleat

The Peasant Dress

Our peasant dress pattern continues to be a big hit. It is sized from 12 months to 4T and is free to download.  There is a tutorial posted,  the ebook is available in our Etsy store if you prefer that version.  In 2015 we have plans to expand the sizing and redo the instructions in order to provide  a more professional pattern in line with our current format.peasant dress

We are excited to be entering 2015 with some well defined goals.  Our first boy’s pattern is in the design process now.  We also have concept drawings for another couple of girl patterns.  There will continue to be free patterns and tutorials because we all love those!  Thank you for all the support you have given us in the past and we hope you have enjoyed all that we have shared with you and will continue to follow us.  Whatever  your plans and hopes and dreams are for 2015 we wish the best for you!

Happy Sewing in 2015! Donna and Rachel

I just used your peasant top pattern to make my daughter’s Christmas pajama top. I usually shy away from making woven PJ tops because I hate to mess with piping, collars, buttons, etc. but making it out in flannel using the peasant top pattern was so easy and very cozy. Thanks again for a great free pattern!
